I’m Kat, the proud maker behind this brand, and I’m so excited to share a little bit about myself and how Curiously Krafting came to life.

I’m a mom to one spirited little guy, Emmy, and two adorable rescue pups who keep our home lively and full of love. My journey with sewing started when I was just six years old, guided by a curiosity for creating something out of nothing. But it wasn’t until Emmy came into the world in 2020 that my passion for sewing truly expanded. As we all know by now (and likely try to forget), 2020 was one of the biggest years of our lives collectively. During this time, I felt as many of us were and was ready to reignite the flame I had for making in my younger years. I started making baby clothes for Emmy, inspired by the need for practical, comfortable, and adorable pieces. Soon after, I created a few outfits for my neighbour’s little girl, and what started as a hobby quickly grew into something much more meaningful.

That same year, I set up my very first market table on a friend’s driveway the morning of my wedding—a memory that still makes me smile. Fast forward a few years, and I found myself showcasing my handmade clothing at many handmade markets around Ontario, and twice a year you can find us at the well-known One of a Kind Show in Toronto. It’s been an incredible journey filled with growth, gratitude, and so many wonderful connections along the way.

At Curiously Krafting, I pride myself on designing clothing that grows with your child, stands up to the rigours of playtime, and washes beautifully to last through endless adventures. My mission is to create thoughtful, high-quality pieces that make both parents and kids happy. Every item I make is a labour of love, infused with the joy and care I pour into my own family.
